I am doing
well considering I just underwent my 3rd shoulder surgery in less
than a year a half. It has been hard road to travel, not being
able to train for basically the last 18 months. I have a very
big Ego, and looking like I do at present (Small, fat, white and
VERY hairy is the best way to describe it ). Is not to pleasant.
The surgery went well, thanks to the excellent work by Dr. Klapper.
I will be in the biggest sling you have ever seen in your life
for six whole weeks. My arm needs to be out at 45%, so it's a
big mother. It's not my first time in one of these. The sling
is so big that people have asked me if it has been one of the
following in order of frequency
1- Cooler
2- Baby carrier for my daughter
3- Going fishing
4- Knitting basket, this one really crushed the Ego. Hard to look
Cool if they think you are carrying a knitting basket under your
arm.
I am in very
good spirits, I am now in the home straight towards recovery.
I will be back as good as new on January 1st. I am currently rehabbing
my right shoulder, as I had surgery on this one less than three
months ago. Tough times don't last, tough people do!
I am blessed
to have such a wonderful and loving wife, she calls me her first
child as I need so much taking care of. I am a big baby at heart.
( Don't tell any of the boys this) Since the birth of my daughter
Jesse who is now nineteen months old. I have spent 80% of that
time recovering from injuries caused from the sports I compete
in. I feel a certain amount of guilt as she has to bear the brunt
of the me having surgery and going through recovery. Taking care
of me and Jesse has been a huge task my wife has, and is currently
undertaking. Thanks Baby, I love you and appreciate all that you
do for me.
I will be
getting a doctors clearance from Dr. Klapper for the fight with
Ernie Taylor ASAP, once I have this, it is just a matter of Ernie
confirming a date for the fight. I will be flying to the UK to
fight Ernie, it didn't seem as though he would come to LA.
I will be working with numerous trainers for the fight, however
my main trainer will be Jason "Extreme" Zickerman. J
has been one of the good things to come out of the surgery. We
have been kicking it a lot together watching every fight DVD or
VHS we can lay our hands on. We are into the UFC and Pride, KOTC
and Vale Tudo. Looking forward to working with the J-Man.
Business
is doing Great, thank you to all you guys and gals for helping
us to make Fitnetusa.com the success it is now becoming. My number
one man Bobby Brel is the man behind all the changes at our site.
Bobby is a gifted young man. I along with the whole family are
very grateful to have found such a great person to run our company.
We have added
the Krav Maga training DVD and VHS series,
this is without doubt the most effective street fighting system
available. The instructional's are the best I have seen, and I
have watched over 80 training tapes of DVDs.
Thanks for
all the kind letters I received regarding my appearance on the
AT&T commercial. It was a great experience, even though I
was only on camera for a second if that.
The USA's
are looming over the horizon and I would have to say that Chris
Cook is the favorite for the title. I may be a little biased as
we mates! but his size and shape will be more than enough to take
home his class. Mark Dugdale is another that will be a very hard
man to beat in the light heavyweights. I see Chris and Mark taking
home the pro cards at this year's USA's. Look for a much improved
Mike Ergas, Mike will be moving up to the heavyweights and the
added mass has made the world of difference. |
