What type of scars does Mederma work best on?
Mederma can benefit anyone with a new or existing scar. Many patients have benefited from Mederma when they have used it on scars from surgery, injury, accidents, acne, burns and (if used early enough) even stretch marks.

How often should I use Mederma?
You should massage Mederma into your scars two to four times per day for two months for new scars and three to four times a day for three to six months for existing scars. Because Mederma is greaseless, easy to use and dries quickly, it can be conveniently applied throughout the day at work or home.

What should I do if itching or swelling develops after using Mederma Skin Care for Scars ™?
Minor itching is possible in the first week or two of application. If you experience severe itching or any swelling, discontinue use immediately and contact your doctor.

Can Mederma Skin Care for Scars ™ be used on the face?
Yes. But it is not recommended for use near the eyes.

Can Children use Mederma?
